THE GENERATION GAP

I have seen children fighting with their parents, arguing with them and at times going mad at them.
Yes, even I have had some mad moments with my parents.  Culprit: generation gap
Times are changing, and naturally the successive generations are more advanced, modern and open. they desire freedom at a much younger age and obviously rebel if they are not.
If we don't get the permission to go party with our friends, or don't get the phone our friend has, we think they don't love us! We get scolded, we stop talking to them. WHY?

Our parents have spent so many years of their lives to bring us up and even now they wish to take care of us till they breathe their last! Yes. I agree they are ' old fashioned' and our opinions and thoughts don't match their's. But we cant make them 'modern' in a day! They accepted us the way we are, so why can't we accept them?
If clashes happen we ought to control our tongues. The one-sided arguments and fire spatting does hurt them, which they don't show! They hold themselves back so that they we don't  feel bad!  We should realise that they want us to become responsible.
After a heated fight, we may stop obeying them but do our mothers stop giving us food?
Our grand parents- I know we have zero mutual topics to discuss and they are unaware of most of the things we talk about. But how much effort does it take to keep our phones and facebook accounts aside and talk to them for at least ten minutes everyday.
The generation gap is something that we can't cover, neither can they, so why not just construct a connecting bridge in between and share love?

Don't forget that we are who we are because they nurtured us. Don't ever let them feel deprived of the love they deserve just because of 'the generation gap'.
